Arizona is Hiring a Project Manager Near Tucson, AZ

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Management & Strategy:

  • Oversee projects and/or programs focused on public safety systems, to include scope, budget, and time constraints.
  • Establish strategy and tactics for project success
  • Develop and lead activities related to end-to-end project management and relationship building with our stakeholders
  • Keep senior leaders apprised of progress on initiatives and projects, including through formal presentations.
  • Develop project timeline and communicate anticipated results with leadership and potential stakeholders
  • Establish SOPs for campus-wide physical safety enhancement requests, ensuring appropriate steps and notifications for updates are in place.

Documentation, Training, and Policy:

  • Design and develop project knowledge resources (e.g. documentation, procedures, after action reports).
  • Independently manage and implement high-priority initiatives and projects that advance the University’s mission as related to safety.
  • Develop and manage training offerings related to safety topics and collaborate closely with EDGE Learning to streamline training administration
  • Conduct policy research and that may assist with the drafting of University policies and guidelines.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Draft a variety of communications materials, such as correspondence, talking points, FAQs, memos, outreach materials, website content, budget proposals, and presentations as related to safety focused initiative
  • Communicate regularly with diverse campus stakeholders, such as shared governance groups, faculty, staff, and students to obtain input on initiatives and projects and ensure they are appropriately updated.
  • Serve as a representative of the unit in stakeholder meetings, working groups, and committees

Performance Assessment & Recommendations:

  • Establish bench marks and metrics to assess the effectiveness and accomplishments of initiatives and projects.
  • Research options and propose recommendations for complex problems
  • Strategically identify and pursue opportunities for refining processes and enhancing operational efficiencies to effectively address and improve campus-wide challenges and concerns.
