Arizona is Hiring an Assistant Dean, Finance and Administration (Administrative Operations Manager V) Near Tucson, AZ
Budget and Finance:
Model, forecast, and evaluate the financial viability of new and existing programs and activities for college strategic planning and decision making. Allocate resources to all units, projects, and initiatives in conjunction with college goals and objectives and in collaboration with college and unit leaders.
Assure timely development and preparation of comprehensive annual College budget, taking into account revenues from diverse sources.
Oversee the monitoring and adjustment of annual budget, as necessary, during the course of the fiscal year.
Provide direction and oversight for business processes, budgeting, reporting, and operations while ensuring compliance with university, state, federal, donor, and sponsor requirements.
Identify and establish financial and operational systems to monitor, control, and improve efficiency and effectiveness, not limited to, processes, procedures, and policies.
Oversee the management of sponsored project and gift-related financial activity for SBS.
Develop long- and short-range financial goals and objectives for the College, including modeling and forecasting prospective revenues and expenditures under different assumptions and scenarios.
Work with other members of the dean’s senior leadership team in the development of new revenue sources.
Review and approve the acquisition and allocation of capital equipment to meet short- and long- term goals.
Work with the dean and other members of the leadership team on projects as needed.
Administrative Operations and Human Resources:
Lead, supervise, and mentor SBS managers and staff in the Business and Financial Services, operational areas.
Maintain knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures and supervise the processing of all HR transactions.
Coordinate with Human Resources and Faculty Affairs, and senior college leadership on SBS hiring plans.
Develop, implement, and maintain written financial policies, procedures, and controls.
Communicate financial information and business policies and procedures to faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and students.
Oversee confidential employee matters in collaboration with senior college leadership.
