About the Opportunity

The Director of Marketing leads and oversees all marketing efforts from creative to effective campaign operations delivering plans that align key stakeholders to drive growth. This may include developing annual strategic plans, creating and executing campaigns, managing budgets, leading projects, and developing/leading the team. This role will provide guidance to the marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans, and building awareness and positioning for company brands. In addition, this role works in collaboration with the sales department to develop a commercial marketing strategy that delivers revenue growth, maximizes profits, and capturing market share. 

In this role, the successful candidate will:

• Oversees marketing department and team.
• Leads activities of the marketing department, including strategic planning, budgeting, hiring, training and managing department personnel and resources. 
• Manages annual marketing spend and maintains cost.
• Evaluates, develops, and deploys marketing strategy and marketing plan.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates marketing efforts.
• Communicates the marketing plan to all commercial teams and key stakeholders.
• Delivers relevant market and competitive research providing insights into market trends and positioning of our products and services.
• Works with the sales department to develop marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, maximize profits, and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
• Develops promotions with sales managers.
• Understands and develops budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
• Develops and manages advertising and communication campaigns.
• Builds brand awareness and positioning.
• Brings the voice of customers understanding to organization and industry intelligence.
• Supports sales and lead generation efforts.
• Coordinates marketing projects from start to finish.
• Organizes company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
• Oversees social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
• Other duties as assigned

What does it take to be successful?

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 
• 5 years’ experience leading a marketing team and marketing campaigns. 
• Competency in project and stakeholder management is required.
• Demonstrates strong skillset in strategic planning management and task delegation.
• Own the department’s missions and outcomes and make strategic decisions.
• Successfully deliver multiple projects and strategies at the same time, and on time.
• Detail-oriented, obsessed with excellence, focused, and result-driven.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets.
• Professional and proactive work ethic.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
