Responsibilities This Network Operations Support - System Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) position is within the Intelligence Community (IC) client's Network Operations Support (NOS) division. Responsibilities Include: * Provide networking background, expertise and valued judgement to collaborate, analyze, recommend, and troubleshoot a broad range of activities affecting network infrastructure services, new requirements, and provisioning. * Troubleshoot network anomalies, incidents and problems. * Provide technical expertise regarding routers including Cisco and Juniper, switches including (Cisco, Juniper, Brocade) and security controls for firewalls including Palo Alto, ASA, Sidewinder and IPtables. * Perform technical assessments and recommend improvements to security, architecture, redundancy and network concerns to eliminate potential problems. * Conduct problem analysis and report and/or present findings as needed. * Assist in monitoring network operations to ensure proper operation and configurations.. * Work as an individual, or in a team environment in planning, implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the networks. * Advise and/or direct network maintainers of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations. * Assess and make network architecture improvement recommendations to customers that benefit and advance clients' networks that are in-line with their visions and goals. * Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. * Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy-oral and written. Qualifications REQUIRED: * Active TS/SCI with Poly. * Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD. * Bachelor's degree preferably in science or engineering. * 5-7 years of experience with Network Operations roles and responsibilities. * Experience troubleshooting network incidents, problems, and anomalies . * Strong communication skills (verbal and written). * Network certification (i.e. CCNA, CCIE or JNCIE) Enterprise.
