Job Summary A Rampant Technologies Systems Engineer (SE) is a key resource that is a part of the Rampant team reporting to the Principal Engineer overseeing the SE team to deliver innovative Cyber Security and IT solutions that are in alignment with the company’s goals and our customer’s mission. Key Skills, Education & Experience Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline. Five (5) years of additional SysAdmin/Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Required Experience and Skills: • Minimum of four (4) years’ relevant experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required; ideally two (2 ) years of direct experience in the same level/grade for like role • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) • Well-versed in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
• Experience installing, configuring, securing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large-scale physical and/or virtual Linux environments
• Experience in maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments • Exposure to infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet or Ansible • Have worked with version control with Git or similar • Experience troubleshooting within Linux as well as networking and storage technologies • DoD 8570 Compliant, IAT Level II required • Must be able to effectively balance multiple projects and prioritize work in a fluid environment Desired Experience and Skills: • Ability to articulate business and technology needs/constraints to both technical and non-technical project team members and end users alike • Strong oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of a contract team • Strong written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise recommendations, assessments, specifications, and integration/tasking documentation • Experience working in a matrixed environment • Self-starter/motivator and having a proactive and strategic mindset are a must • Interacts with all levels of the company and its customers/partners with patience, courtesy, diplomacy, and professionalism • SE principles and organizational requirements that are relevant to confidentiality • SE experience in cloud and containerized environments • Scripting with Bash and Python • Agile development and delivery experience • Administration of VMware, Windows, AWS • Managing Cisco and/or Juniper networking components • Hands on experience and proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite and tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio Certifications & Credentials
• Must have certifications (certifications with * indicate willing to hire if certification is within 3-6 months of finalizing): o Active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance required o Security CE • Nice to have certifications: o RedHat centric certifications - RHCSA, RHCE, RHCS-Server Security & Hardening o Pentest o CNVP o CEH o Other Linux or Security certificates not listed above Additional Responsibilities
