THE ROLE:

Apply Digital is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team. You are a champion of project management best practices and fluent in Agile, but flexible enough to apply the best methodologies to solve the right problems to drive flawless execution and delivery for our clients. If you have prior experience managing complex technical software development projects, and bring a collaborative and team-oriented mindset together with business acumen and strong leadership skills, we invite you to become part of our connected team. 

In this role you will focus on setting teams up for success to help deliver compelling digital experiences including technical implementations across web, mobile, ecommerce, platforms and products. You are a fierce advocate for the best ideas coming from anyone, and bring a deep understanding of the core disciplines and delivery across strategy, technology, design and operations workflows required to bring integrated digital experiences and products to life.You have your pulse on the day to day details but care about the ‘big picture’ and can move effortlessly between the two to drive transformation for your client’s business. Communication comes naturally to you whether it’s with developers, designers or VPs, and you are intimately familiar with what it takes to manage diverse teams and stakeholders to deliver outcomes for your clients’ business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical projects from initiation to completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage all aspects of the project lifecycle including defining and translating client business outcomes and product requirements into clear, actionable roadmaps and schedules and owning the execution against those plans.
  • Incorporate agile or hybrid-agile methodologies as appropriate while being adaptable to select best practices for efficient project delivery and effective production workflows across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Conduct project meetings including scrum or other ceremonies, with clear agendas and actionable outcomes
  • Effectively track, manage & report on project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and balance the business needs versus technical constraints and know when to escalate accordingly
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, key milestones, and any changes in scope.
  • Continuously engage with the client, account leadership and team to ensure we deliver the value expected of each engagement.
Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of demonstrated track record leading teams delivering end-to-end digital solutions in an agency or product organization, ideally with leading global brands
  • Previous experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a Technical management role leading large delivery teams in software development and web technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD and project management methodologies including agile, hybrid-agile, scrum, kanban and others.
  • Knowledge of technical concepts and tools (ie. AI, machine learning, data analytics, cloud computing, commerce, platform integrations).
  • Experience leading headless implementations of various platforms: e-commerce (CommerceTools, BigCommerce, or similar), CMS (Contentful, Contentstack, or similar), Loyalty (Talon.one, EagleEye, or similar), Identity (Stytch, Okta, Auth0, or similar) and Personalization (Ninetailed, Segment, or similar)
  • Proven track record in fostering partnerships with Director, VP or C-suite client and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency using project management software tools and collaboration platforms. (e.g., Jira/Confluence, MS Teams, Notion, Google Suite, Instagantt, Smartsheet).
What you might also bring:
  • Experience working with enterprise-level companies with a focus on Consumer Packaged Goods as an asset
  • Familiar with MACH Alliance
  • Experience working as a software engineer or scrum master is desirable but not required.
  • Professional certifications such as Agile Certification and/or Scrum Master certification are desirable
  • A can-do attitude, a passion for digital products, and the resilience to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and willingness to take on complex challenges.
  • Ability to diplomatically navigate complex and controversial discussions and de-escalate difficult situations.
  • A good dose of humility and positivity to drive your relentless pursuit of excellence!
