Applied Underwriters is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Omaha, NE
Description
Applied Underwriters is currently hiring a Staff Accountant who will assist in creating, developing, analyzing, and maintaining data used for financial statements, examinations, regulatory reporting, and internal reporting. This role will be responsible for performing daily accounting functions, account reconciliations and assist monthly close. You will collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and program management teams from around the globe to ensure the accuracy of all financial reinsurance accounting reporting. As a staff accountant you will play an integral role for the rapidly growing reinsurance solutions sector at Applied Underwriters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting or Finance
- Knowledge of accrual-based accounting and journal entry preparation
- Familiarity with financial statements prepared under GAAP and/or STAT
- Proficient in the use of software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
