The Position

The Applied Solutions Group is looking for a Warehouse Lead to oversee warehouse operations, including coordinating activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment: Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, plans, coordinates, and reviews processes and procedures to ensure shipment of materials from facility as well as receipt of inbound materials are accurate, complete, and in good condition.
• Ensures that staff operations meet or exceed customer service delivery commitment.
• Communicates order exceptions to Warehouse Manager.
• Assists with inventory reconciliation.
• Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
• Participates, as necessary, in pulling orders if warehouse workload demands.
• Promotes good safety practices and adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
• Fills in for Warehouse Manager, as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving environment, at least one year in leadership position preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to operate lift truck, hand jacks, computerized scales, wrapping machine, metal banding machine.
• Accurate, careful and safe behavior required.
• Regular and predictable attendance required.
• Ability to have working knowledge of and perform keyboarding/computer data entry.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to perform math skills to include counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Functionally literate in the English language.
• Ability to see and hear in order to ensure that the requirements of this position can be met.
• Ability to lift, push, pull or move up to 70 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting required.
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively and the able to work in a positive manner with carriers, co-workers, Customer Service, Inventory, and all other departments within the company.
