Description:

This position entails identifying fresh business prospects and fostering relationships with various professionals such as builders, cabinet dealers, architects, developers, property management companies, designers, etc. The key responsibilities of business development include collaborating with trade partners and the sales team to ensure a stellar experience during the kitchen renovation journey. Additionally, effectively communicate the Appliance World Partner Program and its associated benefits to potential partners.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide an excellent customer experience to our clients both external and internal.

  • Establish new connections with builders, architects, contractors, property management firms, developers, etc., leading to valuable relationships and sales conversions.
  • Collaborate with diverse New York trade associations to foster connections. Assist in organizing partner-led events and facilitate participation, both internally and externally, such as social gatherings, dinners, golf outings, organizational activities, and showroom events.
  • Collaborate extensively with the builder division on a regular basis. Conduct meetings to strategize upcoming engagements, identify potential focus areas, and provide feedback/progress updates. Review schedule changes for the upcoming weeks in each meeting.
  • Offer understanding of current trends in the builder market by analyzing key performance indicators like quotes, bids, and converted orders.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team and Outside Sales Team to enhance our social media presence and manage our accounts effectively.
  • Focus on acquiring comprehensive product knowledge and honing communication skills throughout your career journey. A dedicated training program and department are accessible not only at the onset of your journey but also available daily to support your growth.

  • Effective communication is crucial. Ensure to update all relevant information and notes within tickets as needed.

Responsibilities include managing book of business in the following areas:

  • 90% travel required to Suffolk, NYC, East End, Nassau, and The Boroughs

  • 10% In office time
Qualifications
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years' experience in outside sales or business development
  • Excellent skill in nurturing current connections and forming new ones
  • Previous familiarity with appliances is desirable but not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in time management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient with computers
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range 85k – 105k
  • Submit monthly reports for mileage, gas, and toll expenses. Utilization of the MileIQ app is mandatory for mileage expense submissions.
