Looking for Operations Manager
We are looking for somebody to lead our Operations dept. this person will need to be able to oversee commercial and local dispatching. Being able to assist in Long Distance, safety and warehouse management.
You will need to manage the internal team, manager / supervisor duties. We need someone who can manage and handle stress, but also problem solve. Sometimes things happen and we need them to be able to approach situations calmly. Also, they need to be able to coach and manage a large number of employees
• Planning, Assigning, and Routing daily Jobs
• Clear Understanding of daily dispatching
• Answer telephone calls from Employees.
• Respond within predetermined time frame to inquiries regarding Next job.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems with customer’s packaging, pickup or delivery issues
• Communicates resolutions, condition, and notifications to customers, when ever needed on behalf of the company and/or employees.
• Input of customer orders on designated software
• Input of Employees Worked Job and Hours in all designated software
• Addresses situations in the best interest of both customer and company, and proactively communicates to appropriate department and/or customer(s) any issues and status.
• Interact with internal departments as required.
• Completes required activity reports on a timely basis.
• Monitors and maintains records for service level issues.
• Provide assistance with departmental training, education and documentation as required.
• Responsible for assuring all stops are assigned to the correct driver and route.
• Monitor on time performance.
• Communicate with drivers not performing to company or customer requirements.
• Maintain and provide a daily detailed shift report to management at end of each shift.
• Alert Supervisor of all issues / concerns for routes not performing up to standards immediately.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Dispatch work orders to field according to priority and location
• Receive and record completed work orders from the field staff
• Contact customers to confirm next-day appointments
• Communicate with field personnel via company communication system
• Handle paperwork for assigned departments
• Maintain accurate customer and employee database
• Answer general questions regarding operations Communicate daily with long distance drivers
• Connections with potential cdl candidates to build our team
• Commission opportunity based on capacity fill/revenue of trips/expenses under threshold (metrics to be determined)
• Ability to delegate and manage department effectively
• Will report to Operations Director
