Hays are partnered with an established real estate development, investment, capital and property management who have a global presence. Due to continued expansion, the group have a superb opportunity for an experienced Development Project Manager to join their Group Development Management division here in Chicago, focusing on their industrial construction projects nationally.

Your new role

As Development Manager you will lead the team in managing projects independently, from feasibility and design stage right throughout the construction process, through to completion and handover. You will also support all aspects of the development works including management of new developments and the enhancement of existing assets, predominantly in the industrial/logistics sector.

What you will need to succeed

To apply for this Development Manager role, you will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Project Manager and/or Development Manager role (Design-build experience is strongly advantageous). Light industrial experience is preferred, however other sectors will be considered. You must have a four-year BS degree in a construction related discipline. You must also have the capacity to travel as part of this role, as some of the projects will be out of state.

What you will get in return

In return, you will receive a generous compensation package which includes a base salary ranging from $130k to $165k, which is negotiable dependent on relevant experience. This is on top of a comprehensive benefits package including 401k with matching component, lucrative bonus potential, three weeks pto, vacation plus floating holidays, health/dental/vision insurance as well as the option to work from home one day per week.
