Join our nationally recognized government client's team as a Data Analyst/Engineer and be part of an exciting and innovative project! We are seeking a talented individual to fill this remote position on a 3 year Contract to Hire basis, starting mid-May. The role requires a TS/SCI Clearance and is onsite in Alexandria, VA. Clearance – Top Secret/SCI Length – May 2023 – May 2026 Description of Role – The Data Analyst and Data Engineers will leverage the client's data analytics platform to aid the enterprise and leadership by creating dynamic data driven decision support toolsets. They will use high-end functional expertise and executive communication to shape data-driven insights and enable strategic decisions for senior leadership. Analysts will blend functional area knowledge with an ability to use data analytics tools, understand/anticipate the strategic intent, and communicate with senior leaders. The Data Analyst and Engineers will work with a team of Qlik developers in order to understand customer requirements and create comprehensive development initiatives. Minimum Education – Bachelor’s Degree Basic Qualifications: 3 years of experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, C , or R
3 years of experience with database management systems, database structures and query tools
3 years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
3 years of experience with Business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau or Power BI
3 years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization or data mining
Provides research and analysis to help SMEs and program analysts identify options, develop relevant courses of action, and risk-based alternatives to operational challenges
Gathers data and creates reports and presentations, reviews and organizes existing quantitative analyses
Has a familiarity with the DoD organization/structure and senior leader decision-making and experience interfacing with senior DoD leaders
Is energetic with strong interpersonal skills and background/experience working within a team environment with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements and multi-task capabilities
Has extensive experience analyzing and interpreting complex data and researching findings to create strategies for improvement
Has experience delivering presentations, technical demonstrations and providing communication packages to senior leaders and external stakeholders
Nice to Haves: Past experience working with the ADVANA platform and leadership
Working experience with the BASI organization and leadership
Is highly proficient working with data driven tools, including but not limited to: C3.AI platform, ARCGIS, Analyst’s Notebook, etc.
Has extensive experience using tools and portals (such as JIRA and SharePoint) that link and integrate authoritative data sources for tracking, monitoring and reporting
