Apex Recovery, LLC ("Apex") provides residential and outpatient services for individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. Apex offers fully accredited and licensed programs to treat essentially all drug and alcohol addiction disorders as well as co-occurring disorders regardless of stage of treatment required. Apex is seeking a dynamic individual to fill its accounting manager position based in Franklin, Tennessee and this position will report the Chief Financial Officer.

The accounting manager will be ultimately responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-

1. Oversee Apex's accounting department which includes including managing the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, payroll, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and vendor management, etc.
2. Provide oversight and approval of payments to Apex vendors. Apex's accounting department will provide payment recommendations via check, credit card, ACH, and wire.
3. Provide oversight, instruction and monitoring of all reconciliations, and banking.
4. Assist the CFO with issuing timely monthly financial records for all Apex entities.
5. Assist the CFO with the preparation of financial presentations to Apex's stakeholders and operational leadership team.
6. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances to the CFO.
7. Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), and credit card companies.
8. Assist the CFO with providing yearend financial data to Apex's CPA firm. This includes 1099s for vendor yearend reporting.
9. Assist CFO with managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for all Apex entities.
10. Ability to use QuickBooks for daily accounting transactions. Knowledge of how to use Sage Intacct is a plus.

Key Qualifications:

5 years of work experience in an accounting role; CPA preferred

Bachelor degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university preferred

Must have completed intermediate accounting

Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
