Full-time position (35 hours a week), Monday-Friday, occasional evenings when an event is scheduled (about 5-6 times a year) but not without advanced notice
Job Description: Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of complex, responsible and confidential membership-related duties. Provides support for the Membership Chairman in the processing of potential members and maintenance of current members’ records. Effectively communicates with the Board, members and visitors.
Physical Requirements: Work requires the physical demands of standing, bending, lifting, stooping or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time) and frequent walking.

Experience/Skills:
1. Advanced use of Microsoft Word applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Excel skills are needed on an intermediate level.
2. High school diploma supplemented with specialized courses and at least two years of experience in the administrative field.
3. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and math; business letter and report writing; fundamental record keeping principles and procedures; receptionist and telephone techniques; and filing systems
4. Must have good oral communication skills, a pleasing personality and professional demeanor
5. Detail oriented, excellent verbal and telephone skills, knowledge of computer and office equipment
6. Ability to follow oral and written directions and work effectively with others
7. Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision and manage details of multiple events at once
8. Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
9. QuickBooks experience preferred.
