District Sales and Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The District Manager (DM) is responsible for the operational excellence and profitable sales growth of their assigned geographic region. This position is responsible for training, mentoring, and developing the talent of their General Managers to achieve company objectives within their territory. While sales is a critical component to this role, the DM is also responsible for direct operational oversight and is responsible for upholding company-wide standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· To assess and remove barriers to performance from the General Managers workload.

· To support General Managers in their endeavor to achieve their monthly sales goals.

· Ensure region-level resources are being maximized and effectively deployed.

· Manages the performance and development of General Managers within the district.

· Engages in one-on-one coaching and direction on a daily basis.

· Effectively lead and facilitate district meetings that educate, motivate and ultimately produce key behavior changes to drive business performance. * Conducts sales planning, goal setting, and effectively strategizes within the local business environment.

· Successfully delivers brand results and ensures all resources are effectively/efficiently implemented.

· Supports and promotes all national campaigns, promotions, and local initiatives.

· Accountable for providing coaching, training, and timely feedback to drive General Management development of sales process and unit-level management.

· Has the ability and is comfortable in processing data to help manage performance of all sales General Managers in the district.

· Liaison with the Operations Directors to ensure cohesive communication and lockstep execution.

· Per direction of the Operations Directors; implements changes to programs or process; ensuring all sales associates achieve required behavior changes and performance metrics within the district

· Additional sales management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operational management, employee recruitment, recommend business improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 5 years sales management experience.

· 5 years management experience with direct reports. Do not apply if you have never formally managed employees.

· Resides or is willing to relocate to PA – depending on where the applicant has applied.

· Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business administration) or equivalent educational level preferred.

· Professional Skills:

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders; can derive insights from others through probing questions and collaborative problem solving.

· Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives autonomously; Able to thrive in a fast-paced, decentralized work environment.

· Demonstrates mastery of skills in the area of sales training, basic management of employees to performance objectives.

· Ability to effectively coach, counsel, train and direct employees.

· Ability to supervise and motivate others in a decentralized environment.

· Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

· Develop local markets and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within assigned territory.

· Be informed of market conditions and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with employees and Operations colleagues.

· Participate in company functions, promotions, and events. Attend, participate, and help coordinate general sales and district meetings.

· Review and analyze daily and weekly reports, adjust management strategies accordingly.

· Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining records, and filing reports.

· Assist with the training of new employees as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
