We are in the midst of a profound shift from a transactional economy to an experiential economy. Big brands are not just trying to sell a product, but provide an experience that fundamentally changes the way customers think about their brand. At AnyRoad we are creating a new category, Experience Relationship Management (ERM), to help these brands create online and in-person experiences and derive insights and learnings through data. 

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our growing Engineering team at AnyRoad.

All about you

Do you enjoy greenfield challenges - like applying natural language processing to user-generated content, or building out new user interfaces and APIs for our experience platform? 

Are you comfortable with a large product surface area? AnyRoad’s web app and associated services cover a lot of ground.

Do you like helping other engineers and being part of a team that is aiming to improve and grow collectively? 

Are you a builder who enjoys designing a technical strategy and implementing internal and external-facing interfaces?

What We're Looking For:

• 5 years of experience building web applications
• At least 3 years experience using Ruby on Rails and React – or a comparable backend and frontend mix (MVC, ORM, views, state management)
• Ability to understand and develop complex Rails models and controllers
• Strong SQL skills and particular familiarity with Postgres
• Experience working on small teams, collaborating with product/design to build high-quality software
• CSS, HTML, and Javascript. Ability to build UI to exact design spec
• Interest in some or all of the following: Data, analytics, machine learning, responsive UI, DevOps, performance & scalability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across internal organizations and virtual teams
• BS/BA or equivalent degree in computer science or similar preferred
• US Citizenship or work visa required (unfortunately at this time, we cannot sponsor)

• AnyRoad Atlas — Our #1 value prop. Allows partners to visualize and understand their data. You will be working to help scale and build out our data warehouse on the backend. You will also be helping us discover and build new data visualizations from scratch using React and Recharts.
• External Integrations — Our suite of plugins that allow partners to embed checkout flows directly into their own websites. You'll be helping us work on rethinking and rebuilding this in a much more modern way via embeddable cross-origin React components.
• Data Analysis and NLP — Help us extract meaningful and actionable information out of our data. You will help ideate and build out ways to deliver this information to our partners.
• Scaling — imagine a set of scheduling rules that could be applied infinitely into the future. How would you build an API that applies those rules for a specified interval? How would you house that data so it is available for querying? And what recurring processes would you need to build to support it? We have a legacy version, but it needs to be reimagined to support 50x growth!
