Anvil Corporation is Hiring a Help Desk Administrator Near Bellingham, WA

Position Description: JOB SUMMARY
The Help Desk Administrator is the first point of contact for the Information Technology Department.
This position works directly with employees, seeking answers to their questions and managing requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Assists employees by answering questions and providing support in a timely manner.
  • Provides issue resolution, reassigning or escalating advanced inquiries to appropriate technician or developer.
  • Records data required to analyze issues and track them to final solution.
  • Prepares and presents reports related to IT issues and help desk activity for department management review and action.
  • Handles Tier 1 help desk escalations through internal ticketing system.
  • Ensures follow up on all tickets, updates ticket status and information.
  • Creates user accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process.
  • Troubleshoots hardware, assemble PCs (Laptops & Desktops), and replace components.
  • Images, configures, and distributes client computers.
  • Provides anti-virus and malware remediation.
  • Responsible for setup, configure and troubleshoot print servers and local printers.
  • Performs basic windows administration such as password resets and file and folder administration.
  • Fully documents all troubleshooting steps and create knowledgebase articles of resolutions.
  • Manages and monitors internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Provides basic internet connection troubleshooting.
  • Provides basic troubleshooting of switches.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to explain technical information in understandable language to nontechnical staff members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent network experience required.
  • At least three years of experience in network maintenance and support preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to sit/stand, type, perform computer work, and answer incoming calls for long periods of time.
  • Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering phones.
  • Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
