Department Information
The Enterprise Innovation Institute, is Georgia Techs economic development arm, comprised of more than a dozen programs. It is the largest and most comprehensive university-based program of its kind in the United States. Its core focus areas include entrepreneurship and startup development, business and industry growth, ecosystem development, and international outreach.
The EI2 Global (formerly Innovation Ecosystems) helps governments, communities, foundations, entrepreneurs, and small businesses foster value creation by applying innovative ideas, technology, and policy to initiatives focused on economic growth. Areas of expertise include entrepreneurial ecosystem development, business incubation and commercialization, strategic planning, and economic sustainability. Innovation Ecosystems helps clients make the right decisions to manage growth, create jobs, become more competitive, and increase benefits to the residents they serve. Innovation Ecosystems advances technology-led economic development practices at local, regional, national, and international levels by providing internal expertise and connections to Georgia Tech and other industry partners.

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing program for an academic or support unit in ways that promote recognition and visibility of specific services and/or facilities being offered by that unit. Areas of responsibility usually include budgeting, development of marketing collateral and website design and management. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, GT Communications and Marketing staff, and vendor representatives. Job Duty 1 -
Formulate specific marketing plans that effectively promote unit product or services.
Job Duty 2 -
Directly or through others, design and develop marketing collateral.
Job Duty 3 -
Develop and upon approval, administer unit's marketing budget.
Job Duty 4 -
Develop and monitor adherence to unit marketing policy and procedures.
Job Duty 5 -
Liaise with GT Marketing and Communications organization; adhere to Institute wide marketing policy.
Job Duty 6 -
May manage development and placement of external advertising.
Job Duty 7 -
May design, purchase and maintain inventory of promotional items.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Two years of job related experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree; at least 5-7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
