Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Food Runner to join our team. As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables in a timely manner.
Duties:
- Deliver food orders promptly and accurately to guests
- Move food upstairs and downstairs
- Assist in food preparation and garnishing when needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
- Work with a sense of urgency, and very pro active
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen team
- Help with various tasks in the kitchen as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Willingness to assist in food preparation and other kitchen duties
- Familiarity with a POS system is a plus
- Ability to work in a buffet setting
