QUICK DETAILS - PRODUCTION LEAD AT 2206 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE 

Salary Range: $55,000 to $75,000 Annually

Working Hours: First shift, with ability to flex for visibility of 3rd or 2nd shift.

Key Notes: 2-5 years experience in production; proven leadership capabilities; bi-lingual capabilities in English and Spanish are a plus, but not required

The Production Lead at AMZ Pennsylvania Avenue has a multi-faceted role: commitment to the customer, commitment to the employees, and commitment to operating from a value-driven perspective. The ideal candidate will be process-driven and able to build a rapport with all employees, creating a team-focused environment to get the job done and to do it right. This working environment is fast-paced, with the need for the ideal candidate to show a sense of urgency in all assignments while on production floor.

Below are some of the duties the Production Lead can expect to perform: 

• Execute daily production operations in a manner that promotes the organization’s mission of ensuring customer parts are delivered on-time and with the highest quality 

• Ensure production schedules are met or exceeded by moving personnel as needed, batch-working parts, and developing ways to maximize efficiencies 

• Work with the PAA Personnel Manager closely to onboard new hires, complete training, schedule weekly overtime and track labor hours for top-level business metrics.

• Attend daily production meetings with the management team to ensure communication is clear and a plan can be executed for production purposes 

• Understand the concepts in metal finishing, including media blasting and electroplating 

Required Skills 

• Must be able to operate a computer and utilize platforms such as Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc). 

• Must possess good problem-solving skills regarding production and people 

• Must be willing and able to learn the processes of the company to jump in where needed – we are a small shop, which may require this person to assist sometimes in production or logistics 

• Must possess tact and ability to communicate effectively with team members as a leader 

• Must be able to drive sit-down forklift; training can be provided by AMZ

Other Requirements 

• Reliable attendance – on time and ready to work all scheduled days 

• Able to speak, read, and write in English; Spanish is a plus 

• Able to work in an office environment as well as a non-climate-controlled production environment 

• Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs unassisted 

• Able to stand, stoop, bend, and reach overhead as required
