SUMMER / SEASONAL PRODUCTION POSITIONS:

We are seeking Seasonal General Bakery Workers (GBWs) to join our team for the summer months.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Good English Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work the whole summer (preferably May 28 thru August 30)
  • Must be able to work overtime every other weekend (8-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday).
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen (30 days or less prior to starting)
  • Prior to starting employment – provide your start and end dates, and any dates needed off during the summer. Any time off is unpaid.

Hours: We have openings on all 3 shifts.

First Shift – Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, & overtime every other weekend.

Second Shift –Monday through Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM, & overtime every other weekend.

Third Shift –Sunday through Thursday, 11 PM to 7 AM, & overtime every other weekend.

Job Description:

Supply raw materials and move finished products from the production line while keeping accurate counts of product produced. The GBW will work in packaging, processing, or mixing as needed. Assignments may change daily. In addition, the GBW will ensure all food safety and quality protocols are followed.

  • Comply with all GMP and safety requirements and maintain clean work areas.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
  • Packaging Materials - Order and maintain sufficient packaging material quantities from the warehouse to ensure no interruptions in manufacturing. Return all unused packaging materials on a level skid to the warehouse after the completion of production orders which are properly secured and identified.
  • Product Packaging - Prepare and attach skid tags and other related documentation to the finished product. Transport all pallets of finished goods to the warehouse or corresponding area. Ensure correct date codes on tape machines as required by product specifications.
  • Waste Disposal - Catch, box and tag any product that goes to end dump.
  • Back-up/Support - Relieve other GBWs for breaks. Provides back-up support to various departments including scaling, mixing, and operating processing and packaging equipment. Assist with changeovers – proper materials and line setup.
  • Trained to use applicable classes of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read and record written instructions from packaging specification and formula sheets.
  • Perform data entry according to established process control procedures and product specifications.
  • Perform all appropriate Quality and Food Safety testing and documentation as required.
  • Notify Supervision/Maintenance/Quality of any issues.
