We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team!

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing assistance and support to the VP of Human Resources with all human resources-related core functions. The Human Resources Manager also serves as a strategic partner to our internal customers.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process (conducting interviews, making recommendations for hire, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a highly qualified staff.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
  • Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Investigate grievances and/or complaints from employees for the purpose of reaching resolutions that provide a healthy work environment.
  • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods and guidelines and communicates and enforces organization values.
  • Advise on Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation and employee benefits.
  • Coordinate the analysis, maintenance and communication of records required by law or other departments in the organization.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment law changes and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
  • Keep records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • The Human Resources Manager supervises 3 employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field of study from an accredited university of college or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of five years progressive HR Generalist/Management experience. HR Management experience in manufacturing, preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Efficiency and accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  • Ability to maintain open communication with clients, supervisor and subordinates.
  • Knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Basic competency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
