Job Title: Director of Surgical Services

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:Develop and execute strategic plans for the surgical services department.
Provide visionary leadership to foster excellence and collaboration.

Operations:Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.

Quality Improvement:Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of patient care.
Lead initiatives to improve clinical practices and compliance.

Staff Development:Recruit, train, and mentor surgical services staff.
Promote ongoing professional development for the team.

Collaboration and Communication:Foster strong relationships with surgeons and other stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between the surgical services department and other hospital units.

Financial Management:Develop and manage the department's budget.
Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost-saving initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance:Stay informed about industry regulations and accreditation standards.
Implement and monitor policies for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in surgical services within an acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical office operations, including medical terminology and utilization management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Experience supervising a team of employees, including performance management and development
- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic health record systems is a plus

Pay: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
