About The Role & Team

At Amplitude, User Experience is how we win our customers over. As an embedded design manager on our Product Design Team, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of designers that focuses on connecting the value across our entire Product Suite and how users collaborate with each other. You will lead industry-first design practices to inform and define strategy by collaborating closely with leaders in design, product, engineering.

As a Senior Product Design Manager, you will: 

• Lead and inspire some of our highest performing designers 
• Develop the team in areas like Planning, Research, Visual, Interaction and UX Design Partner with leadership across 
• Own process and vision alongside the Design Leadership team
• Partner with cross functional partners in product and engineering 
• Ensure operational efficiency and accountability for design within this team 
• Helping to scale our design org, design and research operations and the long-term health of our product design system

To create that future, you first have to be an expert in the problem. You interact with customers directly - proxies don’t work - so you always gather first-hand feedback.

• Learn through frequent iteration. We believe that rapid iteration is the #1 indicator of success. You strive for a 10x vision, but you get there through 0.1 iterations. To continuously learn, you have to co-develop with customers. It may be faster to build behind closed doors, but by testing “skateboards” you can learn if you’re on the right path and gain the confidence needed to build a world-class experience.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $223,000 - $336,000 total target cash inclusive of bonus.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $201,000 - $302,000 total target cash inclusive of bonus.
