AMG Glass & Metal is Hiring a Project Manager Near Fairfield, NJ

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ideal candidate will have experience estimating and completing projects within the glazing industry. Specific product knowledge of building envelope systems, doors, hardware, codes, standards, architectural drawings, specifications and excellent communication, both verbal and written as well as of the English language.
  • Knowledge of bid platforms.
  • Review plans and specifications as it relates to the project.
  • Maximize product / service scope opportunities within designated accounts / bid invitations.
  • Monitor and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Maintain regular contact with team members to ensure job performance.
  • Participate in sales meetings to establish short- and long-term estimating goals along with feedback and input from management. implementing margins for upcoming bid opportunities.
  • Meet with department heads (Shop Fabrication, Sr. Estimator to receive feedback as it relates to sales and estimating efforts currently being employed.
  • Attend meetings with general contractors, building owners, architects, etc.
  • Review and analyze bid packages and contracts
  • Take projects from concept to completion

To perform this job successfully, an individual otherwise qualified must be able to perform each overall duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, additional qualifications, and/or ability required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • React quickly to changing business needs, think on your feet as projects change.
  • Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through 5 years of related experience.
  • Must have knowledge of computer software applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, scheduling software, estimating software, project management and database software along with Auto Cad , Bluebeam and able to read a tape measure.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Language Skills: Strong follow up skills.
  • Require to attend walk-throughs and site visits.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain documents such as architectural drawings, specifications, contractor instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, reach above head with hands and arms, lift, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, pull, talk and hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Vision may be corrected within normal range. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
