Job Summary:
Advanced Fireproof Door, Inc is a commercial door and hardware distributor located in Clifton, NJ. We are owned by Passiac Metal & Building Supplies Co, which was founded in 1911. The company provides commercial contractors with hollow metal doors, frames, wood doors, and finish hardware with an emphasis on accuracy, quality, and customer service.
If hired, the applicant will be responsible for accurately reading architectural prints, preparing material take-offs and estimates when needed, detailing door and hardware orders, producing submittal packages.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating projects from start to finish. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, including estimating, scheduling, and coordination.
Responsibilities:
- The ability to multitask and manage several concurrent projects.
- Analyzing architectural drawings, interpreting specifications, preparing material take-offs as required, and obtaining quotations & lead times from suppliers in order to prepare accurate cost estimates to be submitted to the customer.
- Follow quoted projects through to completion, ensuring that all lead times are met and billing procedures are followed.
- Prepare submittal packages for approval by architect and/or engineer. Communicate and follow through on all issues with design and timeline to ensure top notch customer service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and general contractors.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and participate in educational and training opportunities. These training opportunities may sometimes require out of state travel which will be reimbursed by the company.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in the Division 8 industry, including prior experience as a project manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred but will hire any candidate with correct background or experience.
- Ability to read & interpret architectural specifications & drawings.
- Applicant must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with estimating software such as AVAware, Comsense, or Pro-tech is also required.
