Job Description

AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager to join our practice and grow our NJ Architecture market. This position will be located in our Clifton, New Jersey market. Our Project Managers work directly with the client and stakeholders to ensure project and program objectives are met. The successful candidate will demonstrate an affinity for maintaining and delivering high quality projects on time and within budgets while establishing and maintaining excellent client relations.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager are as follows:

Project/Practice Management

  • Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of a project, including the budget, base scope and additional services

  • Reviews deliverables prepared by the team

  • Assumes responsibility (in partnership with the Market Leader and Project Approver) for financial, technical and design excellence, overall quality and client satisfaction

  • Ensures project documents, including legal documents, contracts, and task orders are reviewed, approved, signed and filed per the AECOM project management framework

  • Manages one or more very complex projects

Project Accounting

  • Tracks and reports hours and manages project budget

Communications

  • Facilitates team and client meetings

  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to the client, team, and internal leadership

  • Delivers engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations

Teamwork

  • Consistently acknowledges, appreciates, and motivates both individual staff and project team

  • Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential

Client Management

  • Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations

  • Develops lasting relationships with clients and develops opportunities for new projects

  • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions

  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction

Leadership

  • Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related discipline and a minimum of four (4) years of project management experience in transportation architecture and/or infrastructure architecture or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or/education

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Licensed Architect

  • Ten years of architectural experience

  • Experience with NYCT and other MTA agencies, PANYNJ, and NJ Transit

  • LEED Certification

Offered rate of compensation (New Jersey locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000.
