AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION is Hiring a Community Outreach Liaison Near Amarillo, TX

- A resourceful, problem-solver with solid deductive reasoning skills.
- Strong team player with an ability to develop educational programs.
- Outreach and relationship building skills through volunteer coordination and communications.
- Fundraising experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Develop and implement community engagement programs that will increase local and regional attendance and support of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum.
- Develop educational programs in cooperation with Foundation programs department that educate the community and AQHA membership on exhibits and other resources offered by the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum.
- Coordinate the museum volunteer program to include promotion, recruitment, training, and scheduling.
- Establish resources for the school community such as planning, scheduling, and hosting community events.
- Serve as community engagement liaison fostering grant and underwriting support and awareness for the American Quarter Horse and the Museum
- Coordinate and host group visits to include adult tour and school field trip activities.
- Develop annual marketing plan in cooperation with the marketing department.
- Develop engagement/education program budgets.
- Arrange for and support public appearances, lectures contests, or exhibits for AQHF to increase product or service awareness or promote goodwill.
- Coordinate and assist with planning Hall of Fame events in partnership with other AQHF and AQHA departments.
- Oversee, promote, and coordinate staffing with Associate Director for all facility rentals.
- Other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Full-time position available.
- This position is on-site only at our Hall of Fame in Amarillo, Texas.
- Regular hours, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm; flex schedule as needed to cover evening and weekend events.
