Job Description
We are looking for a Field Manager to supervise and coordinate 5 install teams and the Powder Coating/Shipping team. The aim of this role is to ensure the smooth flow and coordination of powder coating, shipping and installation resources so that installation teams can complete all scheduled jobs on time, every day, at the expected quality levels.
Key Responsibilities
o Lead and manage shipping, powder coating, and installation personnel and resources.
o Schedule, allocate, coordinate, and dispatch install resources to achieve on time delivery and best quality
o Make sure teams depart from the warehouse in a timely and efficient manner with all the necessary tools, equipment and product they need for that day
o Help develop pull and Kanban systems to accomplish flow through the shipping and install process
o Understand and facilitate continual, incremental, daily improvements
o Develop work standards and standard operating procedures
o Respond to jobsite issues and questions to assist installers in successfully accomplishing their work
o Keep close communication with all project stakeholders
o Visit jobsites as needed to ensure field success
o Coordinate with Purchasing for necessary materials and supplies
o Oversee shipping and field equipment and tool purchasing and maintenance
Key Skills/Requirements
o 3-5 year experience as Construction Field Supervisor. Extensive experience in construction required
o Experience in commercial/mixed-use construction highly preferred
o Experience in metal fabrication and metal erection highly preferred
o Understand Constraint Management and Resource Allocation
o Able to read and evaluate shop drawings and blueprints
o Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
o Strong planning, scheduling, and organization skills
o Able to remain focused under pressure; creative problem-solver; detail-oriented; self-directed; teachable
o Hardworking, Honest, Humble
