Job Status: Full-Time/Non-ExemptWork Week: 35 Hours (Mon-Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Fri 8:30-2pm, Hybrid positionSalary : $23-$28 Hourly Rate- pay commensurate with experienceJob SummaryThe Miller Introduction to Judaism Program at American Jewish University is the nation's preeminent center for welcoming and empowering those who seek to convert to Judaism and all others who wish to learn more and find a home in the Jewish community. Our Southern California classes enroll 550 students each year, both virtually and in-person, and we maintain affiliate relationships with over100 partner programs nationwide. We also run a collection of experiential learning programs for students and our alumni network.The Miller Program Coordinator will be an integral part of ensuring the day-to-day success of the Intro to Judaism Program by providing logistical, communications, and administrative assistance to the students, faculty, and affiliates.Responsibilities:
Responding to inquiries from prospective students and shepherding the process from initial inquiry to enrollment.
Accounting responsibilities include the setup of financial aid plans; recording of financial transactions, management of accounts and bill processing
Work with Accounting and Development departments to ensure timely processing of financial transactions, as assigned
Works cross functionally with the Communications department on email campaigns, social media, and Maas Center website.
Miller program technical support: assist part-time instructors, affiliates, and support group facilitators, including setting up Zoom classes and Zoom support groups.
Coordinate logistics and provide support for events, support groups, class speakers, and alumni programs.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS required
3-5 years experience in marketing, finance and or program management
Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite; ability to learn and use email marketing and database systems: Emma, RegFox, Stripe, Square, Eventbrite and Formstack.
Ability to build and foster interpersonal relationships: to be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, delivered in a friendly and professional manner with students, partners and university colleagues.
Have a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Marketing or Education is a plus
Self-starter with willingness to work independently
Basic understanding of Jewish culture is a plus
