We are hiring a Development Director in Little Rock, AR. In this role, you will be responsible for building ongoing relationships with corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, C-suite executives, and volunteers of the Central Arkansas community to meet fundraising goals and expectations of our Impact campaigns, this includes Sweethearts (Little Rock & Hot Springs) and leading a committee of volunteers. Creating awareness and spreading the mission of the American Heart Association.

This is an office-based position that offers a hybrid schedule in a fast-paced environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission.

We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities:

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect and secure local corporate sponsorships and individual donations. Includes building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors to retain and upgrade their financial commitment.
  • Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day of the event volunteers.
  • Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff and Impact Campaigns. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.
  • Develop profiles on the top businesses within the assigned market(s) with a documented plan to secure their involvement.
  • Handle event management including but not limited to planning, logistics, implementation, and evaluation post-event for constant improvements.
  • Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience.
  • Direct knowledge of special event campaign fundraising tactics.
  • Solid understanding of how to engage and work with philanthropic communities.
  • Ability to travel daily locally; requires access to reliable transportation at all times.
  • Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving.
  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Here are some of the preferred experience skills we are seeking:

  • University/College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience managing and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-Suite level.
  • Knowledge of corporate and community networks.
