American Equity is Hiring a Community Manager Near Dallas, TX

American Equity intends to hire a full-time Community Manager for a 144 unit apartment community located in Dallas, TX to begin immediately.

American Equity Partners, Inc. (founded in 1988), and its affiliates, own and manage numerous properties, including multifamily communities and pre-development land. Our company continues to acquire quality commercial real estate properties that we believe can be enhanced and improved through our management experience and expertise.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Responsible to market the property and lease all the units at the acceptable company occupancy rate;
  • Prepares appropriate applicant suitability and qualification checks to validate if the applicant meets the American Equity resident standards;
  • Prepares leasing agreements and reviews thoroughly with the resident applicant;
  • Maintains current knowledge of the community, its services, and the other apartment communities in the area;
  • Collects all rents, deposits, fees, late charges, and deposit funds into designated account then notifies corporate office of the transaction;
  • Approves, prepares and submits monthly property invoices to the corporate office after a thorough review;
  • Handles resident concerns and complaints promptly, with respect, dignity and kindness. In those instances where this is difficult to achieve, assistance from the manager and corporate office may be requested;
  • Physically walks and inspects the entire property on a regular basis and checks on vacant apartments; and
  • Professional appearance must always be in accordance with the philosophy and policy of the company.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prior experience in the apartment industry is a plus;
  • Strong operational background;
  • Excellent communication skills; and
  • Familiarity with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
