WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
AET is seeking a Branch Manager for our Fargo, ND office. The office provides construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering services to clients, and the Branch Manager will run the day-to-day operations of the office. The Fargo team is a talented group of engineers, technicians, geotechnical drillers, project managers, and administrators. The Branch Manager will be responsible for personnel management, budget preparation, project proposals, and work scheduling. Candidates should have about 10 years of related experience (including 4 years of managerial experience) and hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or Construction Management.

IN THIS JOB, YOU WILL:
Supervise/Manage employees; interview and train new employees
Manage workload of the branch – assign projects and coordinate with neighboring AET branches to collaborate on larger regional projects
Secure future work for the branch by developing and deepening client relationships; create and submit proposals and work with AET’s corporate accounting team to set up new accounts and invoicing
Promote a culture of safety and quality by establishing and following SOP’s and guidelines; ensure branch employees are trained in and follow corporate policies in the areas of safety and quality
Perform laboratory and/or field work as necessary; prepare and review reports (sign reports if licensed to do so)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors or advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field.
A minimum of 10 years of related experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience managing direct reports.
Professional registration (PE or PG) with at least one state licensing board is preferable
Demonstrated ability as a leader to form a cohesive and skilled team
Demonstrated skill in cultivating and managing external relationships to generate business development opportunities
