Your responsibilities include being the primary telephone operator for ACF, handling customers' email and voicemail requests for general ACF information and membership details, managing the E-Shop by researching items, ordering merchandise, and assisting with promotions of ACF's online merchandise shop. You'll also be responsible for entering prospective members, current members, and renewing members data into the database.

Your work will play a vital role in attracting and retaining members, efficiently managing databases, organizing engaging events, and maintaining clear communication with our diverse membership base.

Key Responsibilities and Role Ownership:

As the Membership Assistant at ACF, you hold a crucial position within our team, working closely alongside the Membership Director, Coordinator, and ACF Chapters. Your primary focus is on fostering member retention and attracting lapsed members through engaging phone conversations, all in alignment with our 5-Year Membership Plan. Here's a look at your responsibilities with a positive tone:

General Office Duties:

• Assist with various office tasks, such as mailings and phone calls, contributing to the smooth operation of our office.
• Develop proficiency in all office roles, empowering yourself to provide support wherever it's needed.
• Transcribe and process all correspondence and interoffice communications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Offer support to different divisions within the Federation, embracing opportunities to collaborate and learn.
• Continuously support the managing director in their efforts to ensure the American Culinary Federation achieves its mission, strategic plan, and program of action.
• Embrace any other assigned duties with enthusiasm and dedication.

Membership Services:

• Serve as the friendly voice of ACF as the primary telephone operator, providing helpful assistance to callers and directing them appropriately.
• Delight members and potential members alike by addressing inquiries with enthusiasm, offering valuable information on membership benefits and opportunities.
• Proactively reach out to prospective and renewing members, inspiring them to join or continue their membership journey with us.
• Take pride in maintaining our membership database meticulously, ensuring accurate records and timely updates.
• Elevate the ACF experience for members by managing the E-Shop with care and attention, offering quality products, and engaging in effective sales promotions.
• Managing Member benefits program

Skills and Traits:

• Excellent writing skills with innovation, analysis, planning, prioritizing, and problem-solving abilities. Collaborative and mathematical aptitude for analysis.

• Positive, empowering, and supportive leadership style.

• Proficiency in Spanish is an added advantage.

• Some sales experience preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Social media savvy.

Pay and Benefits

• $16-$20/hour

• Contributing 401K

• 5 days PTO day 1

• Vacation pay commensurate upon years of service

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

College degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Prefer experience in service-driven association or business with a strong focus on serving members or customers. Desire a candidate with marketing experience and ability to implement projects while building collaborative relationships with all personality types.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is an in-office position, and the successful candidate will be based at our Jacksonville, FL office. Remote work or hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
