American Auto Shield is Hiring a Client Relations Specialist Near Denver, CO

Overview

Founded in 2002 American Auto Shield is headquartered in CO, we specialize in 3rd party administration, providing nationwide coverage and claims services for vehicle and home service contracts offered through dealers, agents, direct marketers, membership organizations and lenders.

This position is primarily responsible for providing client service support to the organization by acting as the key liaison between clients and the company. This position is also responsible for initiating and/or implementing corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction are maintained by performing the following duties.

The Client Relations Specialist earns competitive compensation from $42,000 - $64,000.

This position is remote unless local to either our Lakewood, CO or St. Peters, MO office. 

Responsibilities

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Communicate with clients by phone, email, or in person for problem solving / conflict resolution for escalated customer service and claim issues.
  • Handle claims tasks assigned from claims department for resolving mileage discrepancies, contract surcharges, and coverage eligibility.
  • Communicate contract adjustments and cancellations to sellers when needed.
  • Responsible for minor reporting duties such as upgrade review reports and call shadowing reports.
  • Assist with general questions for customer service and claims reps when needed.
  • Communicates within the company regarding procedural changes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

What You Need to Join Our Team

  • 2 years of experience in a customer service, claims or help desk capacity required along with at least 1 year of experience within the AAS organization.
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for clients and customers.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Word Processing Software (Word); Presentation Software (PowerPoint); Call Management System (TouchPoint); CMS.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • A proven track record of success that includes project management and creative problem-solving experience is required.
  • Calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Detail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines, delivering accurate and quality work.
  • Able to work independently, collaboratively and productively with minimum supervision; able to manage multiple projects.
  • Recognizes problems, identifies possible causes and resolves routine problems.
  • Ability to make decisions within defined job scope and policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with internal and external organizations, clients, groups, team members, and individuals.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to include occasional weekends and holidays.
