American Arbitration Association is Hiring an Assistant Vice President of Financial Technology Near Atlanta, GA

DescriptionWe are recruiting for an Assistant Vice President of Financial Technology. This role is hybrid (2 days on-site/week), and can be based out of New York City, Atlanta GA, Dallas TX, Johnston RI, or Fresno CA. The starting annual salary range is $134,000 to $160,000, depending on city location, with an annual incentive opportunity targeting 20%.

Overview
Responsible for driving the implementation, optimization, and automation of financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting; collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of finance systems with other business processes; leads the development and maintenance of automation tools to streamline financial workflows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • System Implementation and Optimization: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of finance systems with other business processes.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities for process automation within the finance department, leveraging technology solutions to streamline financial workflows; develop and maintain automation tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.
  • Customization and Setup in ERP: Design and execute customizations and setups in the ERP system, including gap analysis, management of upgrade interfaces between NetSuite and third-party applications, and multi-currency/multi-organization setups.
  • Functional Design and Documentation: Prepare and maintain functional design documents for customizations and conversions using a formal methodology; document business processes related to financial processes and internal controls, including process flows and Prism to NetSuite Financials accounting.
  • Project Management: Manage finance-related IS project planning and prioritization; coordinate resources for application development.
  • Data Mapping and Integration: Manage data mapping of external source files with NetSuite columns in Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cash Management, Budgeting, and Fixed Assets modules; guide, test, and coordinate the integration of Finance Processes with NetSuite Financials.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with finance system vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service levels meet organizational standards; stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend upgrades or changes as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals responsible for system administration, data entry, and reporting; foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation: Daily and monthly reconciliations of source data to sub-ledgers to the general ledger; creation and management of reports in NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Tableau, and other custom reporting tools.
  • Training and Quality Management: Work with Finance leadership to assess the product knowledge of finance team members; develop and provide training to finance staff; evaluate, develop, and establish quality management and systems improvement programs.
  • Operational Performance and Evaluation: Track and report on operational performance indicators; evaluate and establish quality management and systems improvement programs.
  • Demonstrates regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred); 7 years of progressive experience in financial systems management, with a focus on implementation and optimization; or equivalent mix of education and experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), SAP, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial automation tools, robotic process automation (RPA), workflow automation, and scripting languages.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance and financial best practices.
