Job Summary

The field manager coordinates the day to day operations on the project site. They are responsible for overseeing the subcontractors on site, the carpentry and skilled craftsmanship. They must be able to provide work direction for the crew ensuring on-time and quality standards. The field manager will combine efforts with the Director of Production to address issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all construction activities including supervising the work of trade subcontractors

• Setup and uphold an organized job site

• Govern all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.

• Implement construction schedule, identify and solve problems

• Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process

• Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other colleagues

• Supervise completion of a final punch lists for timely building turnover

• Attend staff meetings, workshops and assigned training

• Ensures permits and licenses are obtained timely and negotiates with municipalities to obtain approvals, permits and inspections

• Serve as a customer service representative on a jobsite with customers

• Communicates effectively and timely to customers and sales in order to manage expectations along the full course of project

• Organizes assignments and plans to complete the scope of work

• Ensure crew and personnel work follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment

• Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program

• Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately

• Complete installations per manufacturer’s installation guidelines.

• Carries out team lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years’ carpentry experience with exposure to all aspects of remodeling and new construction or related experience and/or training

• Experience leading a team including planning, assigning, and directing work.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to speak effectively before customers or subcontractors of the organization.

• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

• Knowledge of solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to use basic computer functions to update job progress, upload pictures, use management software to update job processes and utilize basic labor tracking systems.

• Proficient in computer applications such as Google Suite.

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

• Displays a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
