• Recruitment and hiring of productionemployees and supporting positions.
• Recruits, interviews, and recommendscandidates for salaried positions.
• Conducts new hire orientations.
• Objectively applies all companypolicies, programs, rules, and regulations in support of achieving plant goalsfor safety, quality, and productivity.
• Provides direction for interpretationand application of company policies and procedures Promotes positive employeerelations by advising and making decisions that are fair, consistent, andcompliant.
• Administers disciplinary actions asnecessary and advised operations on discipline.
• Responds as needed to outside agenciesor attorneys regarding employment matters.
• Responds to unemployment claims andrepresents the company at related hearings.
• Utilizes HRIS to compute and report HRmetrics, and provides other management reports as needed (headcount, KPI, etc.)
• Provides quantitative information toPlant Controller for budgeting/forecasting labor expenses.
• Monitor and follow-up on training anddevelopment via Training Log and Training Matrices.
• Manage new hourly employee benefitenrollments.
• Manage the process for STD and FMLAleave and Workers Compensation claims.
• Directly supervises HR Coordinator andPayroll function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in HumanResources Management or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of five to seven years ofexperience in a manufacturing human resources management role.
• Preferably Infacility/Plant Human Resources
• Human Resources Certification preferred (PHR / SHRM) (Would be nice) but not needed.
