We are a family-oriented company that is looking for an experienced Customer Service Manager to join our team.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:
1. Follows broadly based directives.
a. Operates independently.
b. Maintains customer service records and prepares reports on departmental activities.
2. Reads and analyzes a wide variety of instructional information and other written data.
a. Assists in developing and/or updating manuals, procedures, specifications, software, etc., relative to organizational requirements and needs.
b. Prepares instructions regarding customer service policies and procedures.
c. Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures.
3. Plans, directs and controls all customer service activities at the Cincinnati and Jackson Ohio facilities and at other sites as required.
a. Assists in establishing and implementing annual budgets for the customer service department.
b. Provides daily direction and communication to employees so that customer service
inquiries are answered in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
c. Ensures employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.
d. Provides performance feedback on a regular basis to each employee.
e. Addresses disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policies.
f. Responds to and resolves employee relation issues expressed by department employees.
g. Suggests and implements methods for improving area operations, efficiency and service
to both internal and external customers.
h. Oversees, authorizes and coordinates material returns.
i. Directs and controls plant logistics, as it pertains to movement of raw material(s),
supplies, finished goods and equipment (when required).
j. Oversees and directs issues of product pricing and invoicing and acts to resolve those
issues in a manner consistent with the Company’s operating philosophy.
k. Plans and directs functions associated with control of customer supplied product(s).
l. Directs activities related to product scheduling, including inter-company transfers of
material in an effort to meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
m. May approve invoices for payment.
4. Interacts and communicates with people representing various departments and jobs.
a. Communicates both personally and impersonally, through oral or written directives and
memoranda, with all involved parties.
b. Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings, deemed relevant and pertinent.
c. Confers with customers to provide product or service information, such as price,
availability, and delivery schedule.
d. Routinely confers with Production and Sales management to assure that customer’s
needs/requirements are met in a manner consistent with the Company’s operating
philosophy.
e. Acts as liaison between customer service, sales, production and the customer.
f. Works with management at various plant locations on all customer service matters.
AUTHORITY
1. Purchase order approval up to $500.00.
2. Payment approval of invoices.
3. Hiring and firing decisions.
4. Performance decisions.
5. Recommends salary increases.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
1. Four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study.
***May substitute experience for educational requirements.***
2. Five (5) years of experience as a customer service manager.
