About the role The Business Development Representative will be working in a client-facing role, identifying and leveraging market opportunities in your region to bolster ALS’s business. You will provide a strong customer service experience by engaging in client interactions, addressing inquiries, overseeing tours, and advocating for client needs within ALS. You will be proactive with your communication, including courtesy calls and issue resolution. Additionally, you will contribute to workflow tracking and technical support. Responsibilities Identify and capitalize on business opportunities in the market to grow market share. Represent ALS Geochemistry at regional trade shows, conferences and Geological Society meetings. Meet with prospective clients and visit client sites to better understand client needs and provide solutions. Oversee and facilitate client tours and ALS functions at trade shows. Act as a client advocate within ALS, tracking turn-around time, client priorities and RUSH work completion.Provide a superior client experience by providing information on analytical methods, quality control, turnaround times, and proactively resolving questions and concerns.Ensure proactive, positive and responsive communications are maintained with clients at all times. Maintain regular schedules for client communication including courtesy calls, when new work is received, and if there are delays in work completion.Act as the initial contact for new clients regarding their program questions, concerns and complaints. Follow up on client issues, maintains communication, and conduct investigations as required. Provide technical information regarding quality control complaints and other issues from clients. Prepare and provide short method descriptions to other regional Client Services Representatives. Complete annual quotation renewals, new work bids, and track client workflow. Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality.Other duties as assigned by the US Director and the Business Development Manager, North America About you Post secondary education in business administration/marketing or sciences.Experience working with analytical methods, and quality control preferably in geochemistry.2-5 years experience in client service, project management or business development role.Experience in geoscience preferred. Required QualificationsValid driver’s license with a clean driver’s recordAbility to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities.
