Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Description:

Alpha Omega is looking for a Business Analyst to support the development of Web-based applications in a .NET, MVC, Oracle, and Windows environment by defining and managing requirements and supporting testing. Work in a team environment to support a software system which is undergoing a modernization and enhancement.

Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to solicit, define, and document system requirements. Work with the technical staff to decompose software requirements into User Stories in an Agile Scrum environment. The Business Analyst will participate in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product and user acceptance testing (UAT) and participate in testing.

• Elicit requirements using interviews and discovery sessions, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, business analysis, and workflow analysis.
• Work independently with users to define concepts for new and modernization of software, web sites and web pages
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Participates in testing and bug management and resolutions
• Develop the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements
• Decompose requirements following Agile Scrum approach to create Epics, Features, and User stories
• Write technical and user guide documentation
• Primary POC to the customer and lead for one or more applications
• Create a timeline for Sprint Cycles/ Sprint Planning as needed
• Lead regularly occurring Scrum Meetings
• Build UI Mockups as needed at the start of every new story or screen requirement
• Support the developers with building Jira tickets in alignment with ECA Scrum processes
• Follow up with Scrum Master as needed to understand ECA Agile processes; user story creation, etc.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architect as needed on any new solutions
• Work independently and take initiative to get assigned tasks to successful completion
• Collaborate with other Business Analysts as needed

Required Skills/Experience:

• 3 years of leading requirements gathering discussions with different stakeholder groups
• At least 3 years of Requirements Documentation
• 3 years of MS Office
• 1 year of developing diagrams and drawings

Preferred Skills:

• Developing User Stories in an Agile Scrum environment
• Managing requirements in Microsoft DevOps or TFS
• Developing Test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Developing full SDLC documentation
