Are you ready to take charge of an unforgettable summer adventure? Alper JCC Miami is seeking an energetic and experienced individual for the position of Summer Camp Supervisor. If you've completed some college or have a minimum of 3 years in the field, we want YOU to be the leader of our vibrant camp community.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Are you ready to take charge of an unforgettable summer adventure? Alper JCC Miami is seeking an energetic and experienced individual for the position of Summer Camp Supervisor. If you've completed some college or have a minimum of 3 years in the field, we want YOU to be the leader of our vibrant camp community.
POSITION: Summer Camp Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have completed some college or a minimum of 3 years in the field.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and guide an entire unit of enthusiastic campers.
- Supervise camp staff within the unit and additional staff as necessary.
- Be a positive role model and inspiring leader.
- Display enthusiasm, initiative, patience, self-control, and a sense of humor.
- Arrive on time and maintain excellent attendance.
SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work on all pre-camp planning and development for your unit:
- Ordering of supplies
- Planning of programs
- Grouping the campers in bunks
- Help plan and implement Staff and Parent Orientations; develop training sessions.
- Supervise all unit staff and evaluate them at appropriate times throughout the summer.
- Develop and coordinate the daily programs of your unit, overseeing all camp programs.
- Supervise carpool, complete attendance forms, coordinate staff supplies, and produce weekly newsletters for camp families.
- Communicate with parents as necessary regarding campers.
- Daily involvement with the unit group and individual campers.
- Ensure the facility used by your unit is properly maintained by campers and staff.
- Assist with Late Nights, Special Events, Camp Kick-off, and other camp-related activities.
- Complete any required grant activities and data collection if applicable.
- Maintain open and positive communication with Camp Staff.
- Promote, represent, and be an Ambassador for the Alper JCC & Youth Department.
- Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Camp Director.
- Attend all meetings as directed, including weekly supervisor and unit meetings.
- Carry out all other tasks as assigned by the Camp Director.

- Ability to manage counselors on a daily basis.
- Effective communication with parents in a timely and professional manner.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the job.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and energetic work environment.
