Job Overview
Allwel is a company that provides Behavioral Health Services through the Office of Mental Healths CORE program to the communities of Western New York and New York City.Allwel is currently looking for a per-diem Behavioral Health Specialist in WNY to continue our efforts to grow our young, but growing program.
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced per-diem Behavior Health Specialist (BHS) to provide 1:1 servicesdesigned to assist individuals with a Behavioral Health Diagnosis (i.e., SUD or mental health). As a BHS with Allwel you will help clients in acquiring, retaining and improving skills such as: communication, stress management,socialization, relationship development, use of community resources, advocacy, educational and employment goals.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist individuals with a Behavioral Health Diagnosis (i.e., SUD or mental health) via appointment at the individuals home, in the community or Telehealth.
Create Care Plans to develop goals, objectives, and interventions with the client.
Teach skills to help identifytriggers and develop coping skills to reduce Behavioral Health symptoms.
Assist in crisis prevention planning with the client.
Creatively problem-solve with clients around obstacles, to increase quality of life and reduce Behavioral Health symptoms.
Collaborate with different service providers and family members to increase the clients support network.
Building therapeutic relationships as you develop rapport withclients of different backgrounds.
Work with flexibility and share a creative mindset to approach each client with a Person-Centered approach.
Complete paperwork in a timely manner that complies with NYS Practices and procedures.
You will assist clients that want to start or return to school or formal training with a goal of achieving skills necessary to obtain employment. may consist of general adult educational services such as applying for and attending community college, university, or other college-level courses. Services may also include classes, vocational training, and tutoring to receive a Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) diploma, as well as support to the individual to participate in an apprenticeship program.
Teach concepts such as: work compliance, attendance, task completion, problem solving, and safety, and, if applicable, teach individuals how to identify obstacles to employment, and obtain paperwork necessary for employment applications. Assist the individual to locate a job or develop a job on behalf of the individual via the use of Individualized Placement and Support services that include rapid job search including acquisition of hard and soft skills to retain employment, training and systematic instruction, as well as providing support for the job application process such as resume writing, interviewing and application submission.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in human sciencesor related field & 1-3 years relevant experience required
OR
Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling.
Previous experience with HARP, HCBS and/or CORE a plus!
Bi-lingual: Fluent Spanish/English.

Pay Rate:
$35.00 per hr.
Daily Pay available- Get up 30% of your paycheck on demand.
