We are looking for a motivated and experienced Handyman.
Job Skills / Requirements
We are looking for a reliable and skilled handyman to join our residential building maintenance team. As a handyman, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the safety, functionality and comfort of our tenants.
Responsibilities:
* Performing routine inspections and repairs of plumbing, heating and electrical systems
* Responding to tenant requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Installing, assembling and fixing appliances, furniture and fixtures
* Painting, patching and caulking walls, ceilings and floors
* Cleaning and maintaining common areas, tools and equipment
* Following building codes, safety regulations and quality standards
* Reporting any major issues or damages to the supervisor or manager
* Ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies and materials
* Coordinating with external contractors or vendors when needed
* Assisting with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Requirements:
* - At least two years of experience as a handyman or in a similar role
* - Working knowledge of plumbing, heating and electrical systems and tools
* - Ability to perform basic carpentry, painting and masonry tasks
* - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and instructions
* - Ability to work independently or as part of a team
* - Ability to lift and move heavy objects
* - Good communication and interpersonal skills
* - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* - High school diploma or equivalent
* - The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
* - The ability to pass a background check and drug test
