All Faiths Children’s Advocacy Center (AFCAC) is currently seeking a Executive Director of Family Services to join our team and help children and families thrive! AFCAC is the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Albuquerque, working as trusted advocates for children and families affected by trauma.

Required:

1. Master’s degree in a related field, such as Social Work or Counseling.

2. Independently Licensed Clinician, LPCC or LCSW, pursuant to NM Regulations/Boards.

3. Minimum of five (5) years post-graduate experience working in social services environment, including trauma responsive work with children and families.

4. Minimum five (5) years of experience in clinical supervision.

5. Complete Foundations of NM High Fidelity Wraparound Practice training within 3-months of hire.

6. Proven experience in healthcare quality management, preferably in a behavioral health setting.

What will I do as the Executive Director of Family Services with All Faith’s?

Specific Duties:

Oversight and capacity building of programs as determined by the agency’s strategic initiative the ED will:

1. In collaboration with the COO, lead the growth and continued development of the agency’s child and family serving programs; including but not limited to Placement Services, The Children’s Safehouse, and High Fidelity Wraparound.

2. Oversee the development, implementation and adherence of program policies, procedures, and workflows to align with program requirements and best practices.

3. In collaboration with the COO and HR, develops recruitment and retention strategies and drives adequate staffing levels to support the business needs.

Daily Operation and Maintenance of child and family serving programs:

1. Oversees program directors and child/family serving programs; including but not limited to Placement Services, The Children’s Safehouse, and High Fidelity Wraparound.

2. Fulfills the role and requirements for High Fidelity Wraparound Clinical Director:

  • a. Provide clinical oversight and clinical support of the High-Fidelity Wraparound program to ensure that the NM High-Fidelity Wraparound model is implemented according to its fidelity practice.
  • b. Connect NM High Fidelity Wrapround to internal provider services and processes for referral and coordination.
  • c. Connect NM High Fidelity Wrapround to external partners and processes for referral and coordination.
  • d. Conduct ongoing NM High Fidelity specific training and education to orient internal staff to the NM High-Fidelity Wraparound model, process, values and to increase awareness of how the Wraparound values align with other program objectives.
  • e. Attend NM High Fidelity Provider meetings as scheduled by CYFD-BHS or designate a representative other than the Supervisor/Coach.
  • f. Complete Foundations of NM High Fidelity Wraparound Practice training within 3-months of hire.

3. Ensure compliance with Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic(CCBHC) and other relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to CYFD-CPA(Child Placing Agency), NCA(National Children’s Alliance), SAMHSA, Medicaid, and state-specific regulations, and coordinate ongoing compliance efforts within the programs.

4. Completes and oversees the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual contract/grant reports specific to programs.

5. Define, track, and report on clinical quality performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to programs to assess effectiveness of service delivery.

6. Collaborate with COO, CCQI, other ED’s, and program teams to identify opportunities for improvement, lead quality improvement projects, and integrate evidence-based practices and outcome measures into the program.

7. In collaboration with the CQI department, maintain the client waitlist and ensure that the clients are served on a first-come first-served basis and/or high-risk priority basis.

8. Individual performance management with program directors as necessary.

9. In collaboration with the CQI department, provide oversight of staff client schedules to ensure client services are delivered timely, effectively, unduplicated and meeting MOU requirements. Provide at a minimum, monthly updates to COO with action plans for staff that are not meeting their client contact requirements.

10. Develop and provide training and educational programs for staff within the programs, focusing on CYFD-CPA, CAC, CCBHC and program specific requirements and quality standards.

11. Oversee the clinical documentation process within the programs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with CYFD-CPA, CAC, CCBHC and regulatory standards.

12. In collaboration with the CQI department, the COO and program leadership develop, implement, and maintain outcome-tracking and program evaluation activities and systemic procedure to enhance Continuous Quality Improvement function for all service delivery and seamless operational status.

13. In support of Grants Manager, participate in grant application/writing process and other fund development activities relevant to Clinical Services activities throughout the agency.

14. Develop and maintain active and positive relationships, throughout the agency, with other agencies that interact with the work of agency services.

15. Work in active collaboration with the COO, CEO and other senior level staff to provide input into the overall team leadership of the agency. Model positive, effective, healthy relationship skills and management approaches.

16. Supports the agency’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (dEi) initiative.

17. Handle daily client satisfaction issues as they arise.

18. Serve as the point of contact with contracted attorneys with regard to clinical/legal issues that arise.

Direct service oversight:

1. Ensure fidelity to evidence-based practices regarding trauma-informed service provision.

2. In collaboration with the Finance team, ensure that staff receive training and are utilizing the most clinically appropriate and cost-effective CPT codes.

3. Supports Program Directors and Supervisors with critical incidents and reviews program Incident Reports.

4. Provide oversight, consultation and leadership to Program Directors and Supervisors coordinating services, community education efforts and clinical practice.

5. Provide oversight, consultation and leadership to Program Directors and Supervisors for maintaining and overseeing timely and accurate clinical documentation.

6. In collaboration with CQI and Program Directors and Supervisors, takes the lead in using client contact reports to support direct care staff in meeting MOU requirements.

7. Attend treatment team meetings with other agencies, when required.

8. Manage agreements (MOU’s, BAA’s, Care Coordination Agreements) with other community providers.

9. Appear in court and other venues to represent the services of All Faiths when mandated.

10. Other duties as assigned.

What makes All Faith’s unique?

At All Faith’s Children’s Advocacy Center, we work in a variety of mediums for the treatment of families, children and their caregivers who are struggling due to issues of divorce, homelessness, child abuse/neglect, family violence or other crises.

The Children’s Safehouse provides age-appropriate, legally defensible forensic interviews for children 2-18 years of age and developmentally disabled adults who have been the alleged victim of sexual or physical abuse, or who have witnessed a violent crime. Family advocates work closely with the alleged victim’s guardian to ensure that they are provided resources and follow-up care, such as medical attention, and therapy.

All Faiths Adoption Services works to help children find permanent, loving, and safe homes within a family. We work with birth families to provide comprehensive pregnancy options counseling and with prospective adoptive families for adoptions within New Mexico and between states.

The New Mexico FIESTA Project focuses on creating a support system for adoptive families through networking events, trainings, and connections to resources.

The Home Study Program contracts with the New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department (CYFD) to provide detailed assessments and recommendations for licensure for both prospective foster families and CYFD adoptive families throughout the state of New Mexico.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities preferred to perform:

1. Working knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • a. knowledge of Children’s Advocacy Centers, Child Placing Agencies, SAMHSA guidelines, and Medicaid requirements
  • b. working with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families;
  • c. collaborating with other disciplines and services and
  • d. awareness of, and sensitivity to, cultural and socio-economic characteristics of individuals and families

2. Counseling and theories of intervention that include:

  • a. psychosocial functioning;
  • b. assessment skills and intervention strategies;
  • c. mobilizing individual and/or family strengths; and
  • d. the role of social, economic and environmental factors in the development and resolution of personal and family problems.

3. Awareness and commitment to a best practice model that includes:

  • a. providing interventions in a manner that demonstrates respect for sociocultural values, personal goals, life style choices and complex family interactions; and
  • b. psychosocial and ecological or person-in-environment perspectives.
  • c. laws regarding mandated reporting of suspected abuse and neglect;
  • d. boundaries and appropriate responsibilities of our program and the child or adult protective authorities; and
  • e. issues and responsibilities related to the “duty-to-report.”

4. Competence in a variety of clinical areas including:

  • a. methods of engagement;
  • b. methods of crisis prevention and intervention;
  • c. identification of medical needs or problems;
  • d. the organization’s plans for dealing with medical or psychiatric emergencies;
  • e. knowledge of public assistance programs, eligibility requirements and benefits;
  • f. skills in case advocacy;
  • g. use of community resources and knowledge of community service delivery systems; and
  • h. specific skills necessary to serve our target population.

5. Ability to provide training and consultation regarding the following activities:

  • a. lead discussions, conceptualize well and communicate effectively;
  • b. advocate for clients served within the larger community and other macro systems;
  • c. mobilize and educate clients about formal and informal resources to support clients;
  • d. skills in teaching and program design

6. Supervisory skills.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

8. Computer literacy.

9. Valid Driver’s License.

10. Ability to drive for work-related tasks as requested by supervisor.
