Align is seeking an entry level IT Infrastructure Project Associate in our New York office who will work with a great team and develop the skills and experience to grow into an IT Infrastructure Project Manager. Our Workplace Technology Solution provides IT Transformation, Advisory and Integration services. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate or entry level candidate with 1 to years of relevant experience. Candidates must be hands on, mechanically inclined, technically savvy, and familiar with IT Infrastructure concepts. This role will be a combination of pre-sales support and hands-on project coordination for IT Workplace Technology Transformation projects. You will perform the physical installation and configuration of equipment related to office technology build outs. We bridge the gap between IT and physical infrastructure design and construction. Our work encompasses low voltage cable design, AV design and integration services, physical security design, integration, and advisory, design, integration and support for data networking and Wi-Fi. This should be a hands-on individual with strong communication and organizational skills that is aspiring to start their career path to being an IT Infrastructure Project Manager or IT Business Development professional.  
This Person will:

• Perform hands-on equipment and IT infrastructure installation and configuration for Wi-Fi, Physical Security Solutions and AV
• Assist with project management tasks through all aspects of project including meetings, scheduling, task coordination, vendor management, communications, and documentation
• Learn about pre-sales support and help with estimating, proposals, pricing, RFP responses. This will include working on business development activities and assisting with pre-sales documentation, communication, coordination, and follow up

Position Details:

• The Project Associate will be based in our New York City office; however, this person will be required to travel to and work at client locations in the New York Metropolitan area, this person should expect to be onsite 5 days a week, and occasional travel (up to 10 percent) may be required
• This is a full-time position offering a salary in the $55 to $80K range, comprehensive benefits, paid training, additional compensation

Responsibilities

• Work with project managers to help support the successful delivery of Workplace Technology solutions including hands-on IT equipment installation, troubleshooting, documentation, communication and coordinating project tasks 
• Work on business development activities as needed and provide pre-sales support under the direction of a Workplace Technology Solutions Architect, including estimating, gathering information, proposal writing, sales process support, and RFP follow up
• Leverage strong writing, analytical and MS Office documentation skills to create professional documentation in support of the pre-sales process
• Perform various administrative and follow up tasks to support the pre-sales and business development efforts within the Workplace Technology Team
• Complete various tasks, physical installation, technology configuration, and project coordination duties related to all aspects of workplace technology, including audiovisual (AV) systems, workplace management solutions, smart office environmental controls, digital signage and IP television, and a large variety of other technologies
• Hands on responsibilities will include installing IP Cameras, Sensors, Monitors, and IoT devices related Integrated Physical Security (Verkada), AV, Smart Office, and Workplace Management 
• Responsible for learning and working alongside Project Managers on all levels of an engagement, including proposal development, client administration, scheduling, attending meetings, documenting follow up, tracking tasks, and overseeing deliverables
• Perform various tasks related back-end project support including purchasing - ordering and tracking delivery of equipment and materials required for project and ensuring these materials are documented and billed back to the customer
• Leverage advanced MS Office skills to gather information and produce professional documentation, and contribute to senior management-level presentations to our clients
• Work with project manager(s) to administer and document project work: Scope, charter, project plans, meeting agendas and minutes, RAID logs, and other project tools
• Attend meetings with PMs where we act as a technology representative at client construction meetings as well as internal project team affiliates including IT and Facilities, etc.
• Develop the project management skills and learn to manage overall engagement profitability, revenue, margins, utilization goals, pricing, and contract administration 

Qualifications

We seek an entry level candidate with the aptitude to grow into an IT Infrastructure Project Manager. The required attributes include being mechanically inclined, hands-on, passionate about technology, a good communicator, and the ability to learn quickly. 

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or an IT-related field required
• Be hands-on and mechanically inclined to physically install IT Hardware, Security Devices and AV equipment
• Be technically savvy to understand how to configure, integrate and troubleshoot these technology solutions
• Have a outgoing personality and an interest in developing business development skills - be able to build rapport with clients and industry partners
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to help with detailed analysis for negotiating, estimating and job costing
• Any relevant industry experience with physical security (Verkada or similar), Wi-Fi, or Networking (Cisco) would be a significant advantage
• Possess strong communication and organizational skills to help with project coordination and client interaction
• Have advanced MS Office skills including Word, PPT and Excel to create visually engaging, professional, client-facing documentation and presentations
• Any relevant internship or work experience related to workplace technology implementation, construction or physical installation of IT or AV equipment would be a plus 
• Any familiarity with IT workplace technologies such as: workplace design and construction; low voltage cabling; technology collaboration tools; end user technology; IoT / Automation; BYOD tools and techniques; workplace architecture and construction; audiovisual system design and implementation; telepresence platforms and smart office systems 
• Excellent conceptualization, articulation, presentation, and facilitation skills are required
• Have a strong desire to learn and grow in multiple project related disciplines
