Aldrich Services provides operational management services to the Aldrich Group of Companies. The Aldrich Group of Companies is comprised of individual companies providing accounting, auditing, tax compliance, international consulting, business valuation, financial planning, wealth management and business consulting services to our clients.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our internal finance and accounting team. The role is responsible for maintaining general ledgers for all Aldrich entities on an individual and consolidated basis. The Senior Accountant works with the internal accounting and finance team to ensure timely period end close and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in an open, dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Our teams are currently working remotely, but it will be critical for these positions to be local and available to work in a hybrid capacity in our Lake Oswego or Salem, Oregon location once we return to the office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, reoccurring monthly closing journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts using Microsoft Excel and various accounting software
• Prepare account analysis and report on general ledger account details, as needed
• Ensure daily soft reconciliation of bank account balances 
• Audit workflow to ensure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized, recorded and stored
• Plan, schedule and organize work independently in order to complete tasks within designated timelines while balancing multiple priorities
• Ensure internal control compliance
• Create, and keep current, documentation of all processes in the department
• Coordinate with various Aldrich departments to collect financial information for proper recording into financial statements 
• Serve as back-up on Accounts Payable including purchase order process, coding and posting of invoices in AP system, and expense reimbursements through Concur.
• Act as back-up to other department functions and provide support on projects, as needed 
• Maintain confidentiality

Desired Skills and Experience

• College diploma or university degree in the field of accounting, preferred or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated experience in private company/internal accounting
• Working knowledge of Sage Intacct and FloQast or similar ERP and accounting workflow software a plus
• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent follow-up and problem solving skills
