About the role AIG’s summer interns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company. You will gain valuable, hands-on experience and insurance industry knowledge during the 10-week program. As a summer intern, you will work with industry leaders on dynamic projects, with ample opportunity for challenges, learning, and achievement. After initial orientation and training, summer interns will join one of our business lines, which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse and global environment. In addition to the experience acquired on the job, summer interns have the opportunity to hear directly from senior management and participate in webinars, discussion forums, and networking receptions. Get to know the business The Innovation and Digital Business Enablement Intern is a critical analytical role within AIG’s Global Business Operations, Data & Digital organization, supporting the Innovation and Digital Business Enablement organization. In this role, you will apply your knowledge in digital product & and strategy development, general business (financial, operational, etc.) analysis, and analytical problem-solving to help bring some of the company's most critical ideas to life and support leadership in running a large, global organization. You will work directly with the Innovation and Digital Business Enablement team to deliver digital products, enhance digital workflows, and ensure optimal business value and return on investments. You will support the development of strategies from the evolution of the product lifecycle to product offerings to improve internal operating capabilities and enhance the customer experience for our clients and brokers. You will support operationalizing the first GenAI-enabled business by closely managing stakeholders, developing GenAI-enabled underwriting processes for interim and end state, and collaborating with workstreams to influence solution design for capabilities. You will contribute by defining GenAI best practices and principles to govern GenAI implementation across AIG. You will be a champion of change management, providing businesses with the guidance and tools to leverage GenAI and digital capabilities in their day-to-day activities. You will apply your strong analytical skills to help size opportunities, sharpen ideas with data and analysis, build roadmaps, model outcomes, evaluate investments, and determine the economic value of digital products based on our KPIs. You will rely on your data, research, and analysis skills to help the team run the Global Business, Data, & Digital organization efficiently and effectively. You will leverage your intellectual curiosity to understand economic, technological, and management trends and benchmarks in the industry that will help us define how we operate now and in the future. Support the team in incorporating ideas into management decisions and planning. What we’re looking for: Product management experience to define and drive product vision, strategy, and success metrics for digital initiatives. Experience with analyzing large data sets, including proficiency in Excel. Experience working with cross-functional development and system architecture teams on product development and implementation. Understanding of the quantitative and qualitative analytical skills needed to support business problem-solving, decision-making, and the management of a large organization (operational, financial, customer, competitive, etc.), with familiarity in the techniques of shaping management hypotheses, testing ideas with data, and guiding decisions with rigorous analysis. Knowledge in process design and improvement, org design, and operating model development. Ability to self-start and figure out how to get things done. About You A strategic thinker and analytically oriented, with experience and a passion for driving results. Possesses the ability to speak to improvements, problems solved, and specific results achieved. Passionate for business, technology, and customers. A proactive problem-solver with a solutions-oriented attitude. Self-starter that is comfortable working in a dynamic program environment that includes a degree of ambiguity. Willing to dive in as part of the team to get the job done. Strong, practical problem-solving abilities that show maturity in finding a balance between addressing the root causes and introducing changes in fast order. Passionate to build strong internal networks. Blend of quantitative and qualitative skills, with the ability to be creative.
