Description

Position Description:

The Case Manager is a key position that collects, analyzes oversees and manages personal injury cases.

Position Duties:

  • The Case Manager acts as a liaison between the lawyers, medical providers, and patients for personal injury cases
  • Acts as administrative liaison to Director of Orthopedics and Surgery Services, Practice Manager, Site Coordinators and Medical Providers to effectively manage personal injury cases
  • Collects, analyzes and oversees necessary documentation to adequately evaluate and manage cases
  • Sound decision making to ensure proper case management for AICA Orthopedics
  • Serves as a company representative and brand ambassador to internal employees and external clients

Position Expectations:

To perform the position successfully, an individual is expected to:

  • Request missing data from patients via AICA Orthopedics Clinics
  • Collect data to review and analyze personal injury cases
  • Demonstrates sound decision making on AICA Orthopedics cases
  • Communicates with Practice Managers, Clinic Directors and Site Coordinators case management decisions
  • Builds and maintains relations with Attorney’s, Case Manager’s, and Paralegals 
  • Accurately update and maintain client case information.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Utilize MS Office and Excel as effective communication tools
  • Utilize Case Manager, Nextgen and Mighty as forms of internal communication
  • Self-Starter
  • Be organized and efficient
  • Be professional
  • Be smart and work smart
  • Have a positive attitude

Requirements

Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in a medical office with a focus on personal injury
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills. 
  • Excellent time management skills be organized and able to effectively prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • MS Office and Excel experience
  • Team oriented and able to work with various manager and team leaders
  • Ability to make sound decisions

Position Miscellaneous:

  • Hourly employee may require overtime when requested to meet deadlines and handle issues
  • Ability to attend meetings and training on weekend or night as needed
  • Ability to interact, engage and communicate effectively with management, staff, referral sources, medical providers and patients

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting. 
  • Occasional lifting 10-15 lbs, occasional stooping and bending.
  • Limited periods of uninterrupted standing.
