What you'll be doing :

• Compiles a current Beyond Boundaries list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on current sales and purchase information and other agronomic information previously gathered.
• Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective patrons or talks with customers over the counter or by phone using the FS sales interview road map to solicit profitable orders.
• Displays or demonstrates cropping program Software using SST and Agvance Planning, and emphasizes salable features and benefits.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Maintains territory analysis files on each patron and prospect called upon.
• Uses a contact management system and makes appointments for regular calls on patrons and prospects.
• Conducts regular patron meetings on product and technical information.
• Knows and maintains records on all competition in sales territory.
• Provides customer service using soil testing, crops scouting and other programs.
• Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle according to company standards.
• Wears required company uniform and maintain a clean professional appearance.
• Attends all required meetings and training programs.
• Gets field signs displayed on patron fields to promote FS products.
• Follows up on patron complaints and seeks resolution.
• Helps with scheduling product delivery and application to patron locations.
• Promotes the use of FS Agri-Finance Credit programs as a selling tool and provides required information when used by patron.
• Collects on accounts due from patrons.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What it takes to be successful :

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in agriculture or business; or one to two years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must have or be able to obtain a current Illinois Operators License and a current Illinois Applicators License as required by the Illinois Department of Agriculture
